As a New York based freelance manicurist, MiMi D is known for impeccably clean work. Since becoming a licensed manicurist in 2012, her hustle and creativity have set her apart from your average freelancer. With just 6 months of professional experience, she worked her first show during New York Fashion Week and hasn’t slowed down since. Six seasons later, she’s made a name for herself assisting some of the industry’s veteran manicurists. Adam Selman, Cushnie Et Ochs, Rachel Zoe, Alexander Wang, Carolina Herrera, Opening Ceremony, DKNY, and Diane von Furstenberg are just a few of the top designers she has worked with. In the fall of 2015, she was able to add Lead Manicurist to her Fashion Week resume with designer Paola Hernandez.

Establishing herself early allowed MiMi D to be a Brand Ambassador for Formula X when Sephora debuted the collection in the fall of 2013. Photos of her work with Formula X can be seen on their social media platforms. She’s also done commercial work with Bailey's Irish Cream and The Galaxy for Samsung Mobile, which can both be viewed on YouTube. When she’s not manicuring models for fashion spreads in Schon Magazine, Vogue Thailand, or Vogue Germany, she’s creating content for her growing Instagram following. Gotham Magazine listed her as one of the “Under-the-Radar Instagram Accounts to Follow”.

Flexing her creative muscles, MiMi D has created unique DIY nail art for PopSugar. Producing one of kind Beyonce themed nail art, she became Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Mani Wars Champion. The epic battle can be viewed on Cosmo’s FaceBook page. In 2013, MiMi D created a holiday specifically dedicated to nail art. International Nail Art Day (INAD) is a globally celebrated holiday geared to uniting nail artists and nail art lovers all over the world. It’s celebrated the first saturday in August. Each year there is a global nail art contest, but it’s in third year, MiMi D decided to up the ante. In 2015, she was able to secure a sponsorship with Color Club for a Finders Keepers game in NYC. Followers of the INAD Instagram account were given clues about the location of prizes in different places all over NYC. Followers were able to view the game via a takeover on NAILS Magazine’s SnapChat account.

With an app and a web based show in the works for 2016, MiMi D doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. She can be found on the following platforms: FaceBook, Instagram and DailyMotion.
